The restaurant sits inside what was once the railway workers' union theater, stained-glass coat of arms still overhead, which sets the tone for this 137-room hotel in the Barrio de las Letras. Four connected 1913 Beaux Arts buildings were linked by ASAH studio into something coherent but layered, ornate moldings giving way to Italian rationalism as you move through. Rooms come with Gustave Doré's Don Quixote prints above the beds, marble bathrooms, and mustard armchairs.
