A six-room boutique hotel inside a century-old mansion wrapped around a central atrium, in Quito's UNESCO-listed Old Town. The rooms are themed after Ecuadorian fruits, an eccentric call that somehow holds together. Breakfast comes courtesy of Blanca; her husband, a psychologist and marathon runner, leads guests on running tours of the city at 9,000 feet, which is either inspiring or humbling depending on your fitness level.
