Named for Charles Bukowski's alter ego, this gastro bar in Glasgow's West End wears its literary obsession quietly, framed book jackets on the walls doing the explaining. The room is unexpectedly grand, with soaring ceilings, olive-grey walls trimmed in plasterwork cornices, and an exposed stone rear wall behind a mirrored bar that has no business looking this good in a place named after a fictional drunk.
