    Seven years in the planning and tucked beneath one of Mayfair's grandest addresses, Claridge's Spa is a subterranean wellness retreat that takes the hotel's taste for quiet excess seriously. The treatments lean progressive rather than purely traditional, and the setting does what the postcode demands. Vogue named it among the 100 best spas in the world, which is roughly what you'd expect from a place that apparently needed seven years to get right.
