    A 65-foot Czech crystal installation spirals through the lobby of this 27-story business hotel in Guangzhou's CBD, where the design nods to a traditional Xiguan mansion without taking itself too seriously. The 309 rooms come with pillow menus, free-standing tubs, and automatic shoe dryers, which is the detail that tells you the level. Five restaurants, a cocktail bar, an indoor pool, and a spa fill the rest of the time.
