Sitting on Sultanahmet's main tourist drag, where every other door leads to a menu with photographs, Deraliye leans into the Ottoman Empire theme with colourful, opulent decor and a kitchen to match. It's a full-service Ottoman Turkish restaurant: shareable mezze, kebabs, slow-braised lamb in earthenware pots, and the occasional bit of tableside theatre. Cookery classes run on the side for anyone who wants to take the repertoire home.
