Discada
Northern Mexican
A food truck in East Austin with a menu so focused the only real question is how many you want. Discada is a Northern Mexican cooking style, beef and pork cuts cooked down together with aromatic vegetables, bacon, onion, and roasted poblano, then served in yellow corn tortillas with pineapple slaw and fresh salsa. Elote and soft drinks round out the whole operation. The New York Times named it among Austin's top 25 restaurants, which is a sentence that earns its absurdity.
