Elsa
Alsatian French
A bistro built around Alsatian cooking on one of Fitzrovia's busiest streets, Elsa feels more like a neighbourhood local than its central postcode suggests. The front room puts you in the thick of it; the back room lets you breathe. The menu is spare and unfussy, with a seasonal terrine and the occasional shared baeckeoffe doing the talking. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and the service is warm enough that you'll notice when it's missing elsewhere.
