    The trunk of the palm-shaped island, with Yabu Pushelberg interiors and a skyline view over Dubai Marina that explains why the pool deck fills up fast. This is a full-throttle luxury hotel where being seen is half the amenity: the beach club and restaurant circuit draw a crowd that treats both as sport. An Ottoman-inspired spa offers the counterprogram when the scene gets to be a bit much.
