Sitting in the Barrio de las Letras, the Gran Hotel Inglés is an old-school Madrid institution with velvet furnishings, brass fittings, and Rockwell Group interiors that stop just short of theatrical. The lobby bar draws a well-dressed crowd that has clearly nowhere urgent to be.
