    Guilder is a roastery-run coffee shop tucked inside Powell's City of Books, which means your latte comes with a view of other people's reading lists. The drip gets proper respect here, though the seasonal drinks, like a cardamom rose cold brew under floral foam, are the ones to ask about. There's toast and even cocktails, and the clientele is mostly people holding one book and eyeing three more.
