    The polished bar hits you first as you descend into the old brewery basement, and it earns the entrance. This is a cocktail bar attached to the Hawksmoor steakhouse empire, which means the drinks are taken as seriously as the beef upstairs. The cavernous, low-lit room does read a little New York meatpacking district, but the building was brewing London's beer long before that neighborhood had a mood.
