1. A Forbes Five-Star hotel in the Via Veneto neighborhood, the part of Rome that inspired Fellini to invent the word "paparazzi." Hotel Eden has been around forever and knows it, carrying off that old-school Roman grandeur without feeling stuffy about it. The art deco rooms are airy and the views of the city are genuinely ridiculous. The crowd wears linen well and never seems to be in a hurry, which is exactly the right energy.
