A 19th-century house fused with a neo-Brutalist addition in the middle of Oaxaca's UNESCO-listed historic center, this twelve-room boutique hotel is the work of Grupo Habita, the team behind most of Mexico's stylish hotels. Furnishings are handmade by local craftsmen, textiles are designed by Oaxacan artists, and the whole thing reads residential rather than hotelly. There's also a pool, a bar, and a restaurant in a city that takes its food seriously.
