    Corten steel planter boxes left to rust in the courtyard make the design philosophy pretty clear: this boutique hotel in George Town's UNESCO buffer zone is not doing shophouse nostalgia. Raw concrete and galvanized steel are the palette, softened just enough by terracotta doors, ochre upholstery, and tropical planting in the open-air lobby voids. Rooms are compact. Downstairs, a café, a restaurant, and a vinyl listening bar give you somewhere to be.
