    The dining room of the Four Seasons Florence, all frescoed ceilings and impeccable linens, holds a Michelin-starred kitchen that doesn't lean on the grandeur as an excuse to coast. The menu moves between land, sea, and vegetable without a fixed ideology, with tasting menus that split between the chef's own ideas and a Tuscan-rooted version. The service is expert without being starched, which, in a room this formal, takes some doing.
