    Four 17th-century townhouses knitted together along St. Barbara Bastion, with the Grand Harbour spread out below like someone forgot to put a ceiling on the city. This boutique hotel holds 23 rooms and suites, some with plunge pools, some where the bathtub faces the water, all dressed in sharp contemporary interiors and bold sculpture. A Forbes Five Star property, with a spa built into the ancient stone vaults beneath it all.
