    A converted townhouse hotel on a quiet Valletta street, with the original stone façade intact and the inside stripped back to something sharply contemporary: black, white, and flashes of golden yellow, with local art on every floor. Rooms adapt to the old building's odd angles, some running across two levels. Breakfast and a sunset aperitivo both happen on the roof terrace, with harbor views that do most of the heavy lifting.
