    The Rockwell Group designed the interiors here, and the results sit comfortably between preserved historic detail and modern minimalism, which is harder to pull off than it sounds. This Forbes Four Star hotel occupies Plaza de Canalejas in the Centro, meaning the Prado, the tapas bars, and Madrid's famously late nightlife are essentially at the door. An intimate spa and a restaurant run by the Sandoval brothers round out the reasons to stay in.
