The Kimpton Hotel Fontenot sits at the edge of the Central Business District, which in New Orleans means you're a short walk from everything and nothing ever fully closes. It's a boutique hotel that took a forgettable chain property and dressed it in something the city would actually recognize as its own, from the moody interiors down to the bar. The Michelin Guide has it among its selected hotels, and the location alone does a lot of work.
