The name comes from a Southern Thai technique: ingredients soaked in a coconut curry marinade, then cooked over open flames. That method organizes the whole menu at this grill restaurant tucked into Borough Market. The team behind Som Saa spent time in the kitchens of Bo.Lan in Bangkok and Pok Pok in New York before arriving here, and the Michelin Guide gave it a Bib Gourmand.
