A Haussmannian mansion tucked just off Avenue Montaigne that somehow manages to feel more like a private home than a hotel, despite the Italian marble showers and Thalgo spa in the basement. Rooms on the smaller end are very Paris about it, but the suites open up considerably. The glass-roofed courtyard restaurant and that underground pool make staying in feel less like a concession and more like the point.
