    Ski boots off, boots toward the fire: La Sivolière is a stone-and-timber ski-in, ski-out chalet hotel tucked into the forest just outside Courchevel 1850's center, which keeps it quieter than its neighbors without sacrificing the altitude. Rooms run to velvet armchairs, marble bathrooms, and Diptyque candles, and the restaurant's picture windows frame nothing but fir trees and snow. A heated ski room with local guides handles the practical side of the fantasy.
