    The all-white rooms and modern murals make clear this fifty-room hotel isn't playing the medieval-romance game, even sitting a short drive from one of the most storied villages on the French Riviera. Saint-Paul-de-Vence draws the art-minded to the Fondation Maeght, and La Vague gives them somewhere contemporary to land: a Scandinavian-inspired spa, a pool ringed with chaise lounges, and a bistro that feels more like a city cocktail bar than country France.
