    Vintage photographs and sculpted details fill the 22 rooms of this design-forward boutique hotel on Rue Jacob, deep in the sixth arrondissement. Bookshops and galleries are practically the neighbors, with the Musée d'Orsay a short walk away. No restaurant, but a bar and room service keep things civilized. Some rooms look onto lively Rue Bonaparte; others catch the Saint-Germain rooftops, which is the trade-off worth thinking about when you book.
