    A former printing press on one of Saint-Germain's most storied streets, Bel Ami sits comfortably between palace-hotel excess and the austerity of the artful-but-chilly boutique. The look is mid-century modernism tipped into retro-futurism, which sounds chaotic and somehow isn't. There's a spa, a bar, a restaurant, and beds that seem designed specifically to make leaving feel unreasonable. Art by local names hangs throughout, keeping the free-thinking neighborhood spirit honest.
