    A converted 1900 mansion just outside the city centre, with a conservatory, terrace, and garden that make the whole thing feel less like a restaurant booking and more like a lunch invitation. The menu follows the chef's trips to Talensac market, so it shifts with the seasons rather than with the printer's schedule. Modern French cooking, the kind that's generous and rooted without being self-congratulatory.
