Panther-print sofas, a working fireplace, and chandeliers stacked like they're competing with each other set the tone in this hotel cocktail bar inside one of Paris's grand old palace hotels. The room runs unabashedly old-school, and the bartenders lean into it with serious mixing rather than nostalgia. It costs what it costs, and nobody at the deep leather sofas seems troubled by that.
