Le Moulin de Saint-Paul
Mediterranean
The millstone and old olive press are still embedded in the walls of this former oil mill, now a relaxed bistro at the edge of one of the Côte d'Azur's most painted villages. The menu runs to veal blanquette, beef tartare, and Nice-style courgette risotto, which is a more grounded offer than the setting might suggest. Matisse, Chagall, and Yves Montand all passed through town, so the place has history whether it tries or not.
