Each of the twenty-six rooms at this boutique hotel is named for a writer, running alphabetically from A to Z, Baudelaire to Zola. It sounds precious, but the rich colors and textures keep things warm rather than curated. The library does breakfast and runs an honor bar for returns. Just off the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, so Sotheby's is a neighbor, and the mansard suites trade a slightly angled ceiling for rooftop views.
