    The open kitchen takes center stage in this grand brasserie inside the Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria, where Christophe Hardiquest is doing something quietly ambitious with the classics. The menu runs Belgian and French brasserie through a more considered kitchen, so the vol-au-vent and shrimp fritters arrive with a little more intention than you'd expect. Traditional tableware, plush room, the kind of lunch that turns into afternoon.
