The gabled ceiling and long communal table give this modern French restaurant in the 11th the feel of a loft someone forgot to fully convert. Sota Atsumi, who came up through Michel Troisgros and other serious kitchens, runs a market-driven set menu out of an open kitchen anchored by a wood-fired oven. The cooking is French at its bones with a quiet Japanese sensibility running underneath, the kind of thing that reads as effortless until you think about it.
