    A former bus and train depot converted into a boutique hotel, with wrought-iron staircases and chocolate-and-taupe carpets that lean warmer and moodier than the typical design-hotel playbook. The basement brasserie has a vaulted ceiling and a French menu. Victoria Quarter and Harvey Nichols are a short walk away, and the neighborhood fills with shoppers by day and revelers by night, so the location does a lot of work.
