From the street you can watch the schnitzels being pounded in the open kitchen, which sets the tone for everything that follows. This elegant but unfussy Austrian restaurant on the Ringstrasse is more or less a temple to the Wiener schnitzel, ordered here with all the trimmings, served to classical music, and taken seriously enough that they run a weekly schnitzel course and sell a book called "The Wiener Schnitzel Love Book."
