Tulip-shaped chairs, peony motifs, and larger-than-life wooden lanterns set the tone at this 89-room Wan Chai boutique hotel, whose look borrows from a Chinese fairytale about the Moon Goddess and her Jade Rabbit. Marcel Wanders designed the interiors, and the result is somewhere between Dutch modernism and a Far Eastern storybook, with marble stand-alone tubs and a quiet secret garden tucked inside a neighborhood better known for other kinds of nightlife.
