Mystique, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Santorini

Thirty-six suites and five villas tumble down a Santorini cliffside in Oia, all of them angled so that every terrace catches the caldera. The layout is a little labyrinthine, by design, which gives the place an odd, pleasantly secretive feel. Some suites come equipped with in-room workout machines, for guests who can resist a volcanic sunset for exactly that long. A poolside bar and a cliff-edge terrace restaurant handle the rest.
