French
Down a laneway off Hollywood Road, hemmed in by wet markets and antique shops, this is not a restaurant that wants to be found, yet it books out weeks ahead anyway. Chef David Lai cooks French-leaning European food with a produce-first philosophy he traces back to Alice Waters, and the result is deceptively simple cooking that earns both a Michelin star and a spot on Asia's 50 Best. BYO is welcome, which the regulars have clearly figured out.
