The basement of Hotel New York turns out to be one of the more atmospheric dining rooms in Rotterdam, fitted out like a jazz-age Manhattan club and anchored by an eleven-meter bar that earns its keep. It's a modern cuisine restaurant with French leanings, but the kitchen moves comfortably between beurre blanc and yuzu without making a fuss about it. The oyster bar pulls in its own crowd. Dress like you mean it.
