A 19th-century palace in Chueca that once belonged to a marquesa, now a boutique hotel where designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán has swapped the antiques for modular sofas and Jonathan Adler vases while keeping the azulejo tiles and moulded ceilings. The Padrino Cocktail Bar still wears the façade of the old bookstore it displaced. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key. Just brief your taxi driver in advance.
