The walls are hung with fantasy creatures and colorful plants, plus postcards sent back by regulars who've clearly never stopped thinking about dinner. Origine is a neighborhood restaurant in Etterbeek where the monthly menu comes in three lanes, vegetarian, meat, or fish, and the chef's approach is loose enough that vol-au-vent might arrive with morel cream and a verjuice potato foam. Whimsical is the word, and the room earns it without trying too hard.
