    A neo-Moorish mansion on the edge of Alfama where the original stained glass and antique tilework share space with tulip tables and cherry-red rugs, because the owners have a point to make about taste. This boutique hotel holds just six suites, which means the gilded public rooms, terrace garden, and Brazilian-wood dining room are essentially yours. The art-and-fashion crowd has noticed, and children under twelve have not been invited.
