    A former 15th-century palace folded into the Alfama hillside, now a family-owned luxury boutique hotel holding a Michelin Key. Only 19 rooms, all different, mixing restored period details with contemporary art and furniture. The hilly topography does the rest: rooftop and river views come standard. Audrey's handles meals from breakfast through dinner, and Manny's Bar stays open late for anyone reluctant to call it a night.
