    A seven-storey atrium open to natural light sets the tone at this harbourside luxury hotel on Waitematā. Conran and Partners did the interiors, and the industrial-luxe concrete-and-glass aesthetic reads a little like the Tate Modern relocated to Auckland, which makes the Māori tukutuku panels and woven pieces scattered throughout feel like a considered argument rather than decoration. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Key.
