    The lobby is on the 37th floor, the pool is higher still, and the glass-bottomed bar platform juts past the building's edge, so you spend the whole stay slightly airborne. This luxury hotel in Hangzhou's eastern business district has New York firm Yabu Pushelberg's fingerprints all over it: plum blossom headboards, lake-blue tones, and marble, with Qiantang River views through floor-to-ceiling windows. West Lake is a short drive away when you finally come back down.
