The bland government-tower exterior is either a joke or a warning, because inside QT Canberra commits fully to political kitsch, portraits of famous politicians and all. It's a style-forward hotel where the rooms are warmer than the lobby theatrics suggest, and still come with every comfort a starchier luxury property would offer. Capitol Bar & Grill and Lucky's Speakeasy are both worth the detour downstairs, especially if you want to feel like a lobbyist.
