A hacienda-style hotel just outside San Miguel's historic center, complete with stone archways, landscaped gardens, a big pool, and a full lienzo charro, which is, yes, a Spanish-style bullring on the grounds. Rooms are simple and warm, with wooden furniture and earthy ochres, some with ceramic floors and pool-view balconies. Two-for-one margaritas, mariachi at a nearby lawn wedding, kids on the playground: the theme is not subtle, and nobody here seems troubled by that.
