RiVi
Japanese
A prix fixe restaurant in Nishi-ku where the menu has no fixed dishes because the chef keeps rewriting it, drawing on Italian and French training, pastry work, and a deep attachment to Osaka. The first half of the meal is essentially a love letter to the city; the second half ends with seasonal mixed rice, served in a bowl you hold in your hands. Handmade ceramics carry the food. Genre-less is the point, not the problem.
