    Cloisonné metalwork hangs in every room, paintings drawn from ancient gongbi and ink-wash traditions line the lobby, and the sixth-floor pool is ringed by sculpture from leading Chinese artists. This is a luxury hotel in Chaoyang's business district that takes "cultural programming" seriously enough that you almost forgive them for calling the concierge a "curator." Forbes Four Star and a Michelin Guide 2 Keys. Seven restaurants, a Sense spa, and Frette linens round things out.
