A former Bonaparte residence just off the Trocadéro, this hotel carries its lineage with a straight face and pulls it off. The Shangri-La group brought its decades of Far East luxury experience to a grand 19th-century Paris palace, and interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon did the rest. Several rooms face the Eiffel Tower directly. It holds a Forbes Five Star and a Michelin Key, and the Cantonese restaurant downstairs has its own devoted following.
