A former textile warehouse in the NOMA district, exposed girders and all, now houses one of Manchester's more talked-about fine dining rooms. Tom Barnes ran the kitchen at L'Enclume before opening this tasting-menu restaurant, and the move from Cumbrian countryside to city center shows up on the plate: hyper-seasonal British produce sits alongside quietly global flavors, and the meal closes with a tiramisu that's a tribute to his late father. It holds a Michelin star.
